With a knack for uncomplicating the complicated, Jim brings his extensive business knowledge, financial acumen and 30 years of corporate planning experience to our client engagements.
Jim’s passion for entrepreneurship has afforded him a keen understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing business owners.
Jim earned a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, the Chartered Professional Accountant and Chartered Accountant designations. However, his greatest education has been the experience of more than 30 years of corporate planning. His education and experience bring a powerful impact to the corporate clients who come to Podium Prosperity Group for financial planning and advice.
After a dozen years learning the processes that drive large company success, Jim co-founded 3 successful start-up technology companies (one of which was TSX listed) holding the positions of CFO and COO. In 2015, Jim partnered and became co-owner and CFO of ABEX Private Wealth Management, which transitioned to operating as p|w|m Advisory Group and eventually Stonebrooke Private Wealth Management. Jim developed the proprietary “Integrated Corporate Life” and “Intentional Wealth” programs, which are central to Podium Prosperity Group’s ability to assist business owners with the complexities of their financial success.
He and his wife Julie are triathletes and active members and sponsors of sports clubs and teams in and around Barrie, ON.
